We wanted to record a show much ealier in the month but something always came up. What can I say, it happens!!!

Anyway, we finally got together (the usual 4) and you would think that after this long between episodes, we'd have tons of topics to discuss. I guess we had a few but for some reason, almost everything revolved around Keith's ass!!

A bit of a shorter show for you this week but hey, we had to cut it short so we could go watch the refs give it to the Sens (ONCE AGAIN!). Is it really that hard to be a ref in the NHL? Really? I mean COME ON!!! I guess I should save the for the other podcast I do.

Good to be back!! Hope you enjoy the show.

Sorry about that... was sick all of last week. But that's okay 'cause that allowed us to record a show with Stand-up Comedian Julien Dionne. Julien is a great comedian and an awesome dude... he was on the show before and we were more than happy to have him back on. And I'm sure we'll have him on again the next time he tours around the Ottawa region again.

The show starts off with Keith, Joe, myself (Ben) and of course Julien for the first half of the show as Monica is busy upstairs wrapping presents. We then decide to call Monica to ask her a specific question... we talk a bit on the phone and then she decides to come down and join us for the rest of the show (after we quickly set-up a 5th mic).

Warning you, this is a long show (over 2 hours I think?). We were having so much fun, we just didn't want to end it. And when we did want to end it, Keith didn't let us... he had stuff in his notes that we simply HAD to go through. All worth it though.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the show. And Julien, if you're reading this... THANK YOU so much for joining us. You're a lot of fun and we hope we can do this again with you the next time you're in town. But next time, bring your wife!!

I don't think the same can be said for this episode. I think we were all in fine form. Highly-medicated Monica was back in her usual spot. A little bit of booze mixed with a little bit of pain-killers makes for a very giggly Monica. She was in fine form... and Joe was also on fire. He goes on a great rant about uncomfortable high fives which of course, inspired this episode's show title..

Keith had a great costume for his Halloween party so we talked about that... and he shared with us how he got his ears waxed, his face shaved and his eyebrows trimmed. I don't know how we always end-up focusing on Keith's haircuts and facial hair each week, but we just do.

It was just one of those things where we all had a lot to say (and the length of the show proves that) but there were no "wow" moments... or should I say, moments that typically inspire a show title. In fact, this episode's show title stems from a segment that maybe we shouldn't have done. One of our listeners asked us about the Rice Purity Test so I looked it up and we decided to take the test on the show. Problem with that is the test has 100 questions and we noticed 1/3 into the test that are listeners would probably not find this too entertaining... but we decided to finish the test anyway.

Now don't get me wrong... there were some interesting conversations. Like when Keith talked about his hair - both the hair on his head and on his chest. You know... stuff like that!

Monica wasn't able to join us again this week, so of course, her goofy brother Goober sat-in for her. Thanks Doug. Now if only you had a laugh like your sister's!?

I know we always say that we don't edit on TC but in this case, I think we made the right decision. We will touch on what the topic was (and why we chose to remove that entire section) in our next episode. You know... some people can be a little sensative when it comes to certain things.

In every show, there's usually one comment or topic that inspires a show title. In this episode, nothing really stood out. Doesn't mean the show isn't good, we just seemed to be all over the place for some reason. Well, there was one topic that could have given us a show title BUT we removed that particular audio from the show. Again, will explain in our next episode. Anyway, having said all that, we still had fun and we still think you will enjoy the show. At least we hope so???

Anyway, Todd was in town (Ottawa) doing his gig at the Comedy Club for 2 weeks and we managed to snag him on his last day in Ottawa. He basically worked every night he was in town so it was very hard to schedule a night to record an episode with him. We ended-up recording the show this past Sunday around midnight... probably the latest we ever started recording a show. Big props for Todd as he headed over to the podcast studio right after his final night of working at the Comedy Club.

Todd has been on Talking Canadian twice before but never with all four regulars. We managed to set-up a 5th mic so that no one would have to sit this one out.

It's always fun have Todd on the show... great guy, very funny, and has become a really good friend.

Wow, 3 years! And there I was a few weeks ago thinking of putting an end to this podcast. Well, after hearing the impact TC has had on our very own Keith these past few years (you'll hear it too if you listen to the show), I think we'll have to keep doing this for at least another 3 years.

Anyway, we recorded the show on Wednesday but unfortunatley, I didn't get a chance to publish the show until today (2 days later). I think it was a pretty good show... let me just say... Joe was "prepared". We had a number of topics we wanted to touch on but it was just one of those nights where we had so much to flap about that we never actually covered any of the topics we had on our lists... except for maybe a few things Keith had on his list.

If you happen to have some champagne, maybe have a glass with us while you listen.

On a closing note, I want to thank listener S. Snafu who sent us a very nice 3 year anniversary present. He put together a montage of TC moments and did a wonderful job. You can hear his clip right at the end of the show after the outro music.

Keith finally tells us his story about when he called his girlfriend by the wrong name. He didn't want to tell the story as he felt it had been overhyped and didn't think it would be that interesting but we finally got it out of him... and he was right!! Just kidding Keith. Monica had to leave the studio in order for him to finally speak...
So Doug aka "Goober" (Mo's brother) sat-in for her instead. He's such a huge fan of TC and seeing that it was also his birthday, we let him be on the show.

We started recording the episode pretty late so we intentionally kept the show shorter than usual. BUT... Alex Lesage created a "Best of TC" montage a few weeks ago which is about 30 minutes long and we added his clip at the end of the show (after the Outro music). Alex spent a lot of time putting that montage together so make sure you listen!!

No Monica laughing in this one to make things sound funnier than they really are, but still a good show. Thanks Goober for joining us on a very late work night (and on your birthday) to record episode 55.

BUT... we did one thing that we said we'd never do and that's edit anything we say on the show. Well, last night we sort'a had to... we were having tons of fun, a couple of us mentioned a few things that could be considered inappropriate (even for us) so I had to chop off about 10 minutes of the show somewhere in the middle. Not that I needed to mention this here 'cause you'd never know about the edit if didn't say anything (that's how good I am at editing). But us having to edit ourselves for the first time is an indication of what type of show this was. We spoke our minds, laughed a lot (especially Monica), and had a blast.

As you know, we like to do shows every second Tuesday but Joe couldn't make it 2 weeks ago so we delayed the show a week and then last Tuesday, I was knocked-out by a bad case of the 24hr flu!

But we did record a show last night. Monica didn't join us but Todd Van Allen did. That's right, the one and only Todd Van Allen (who just happens to be in Ottawa this week hosting several comedy shows) decided to drop by and record an episode with us once again.

Needless to say, a lot of laughs to go around when TVA is in the house.

We recorded the show late last night (waiting for Todd to arrive) and by the time I was done mixing down the audio file, it was almost 2:00 AM. Hence why I'm publishing the show today.

We had tons of e-mails to read but I think we only got to three. Kind'a hard to focus with Todd around!!

And like usual, we were all over the map in this one... from lobsters to childhood memories to goats to Tiger to lobsters again to polynomials to.... well... goats. Hell I don't know - will have to listen to the show myself to be sure.

Anyway, we're back and hope you enjoy the show!?

The whole world recently tuned in to watch/listen to Tiger's speech... I had no idea how upset Monica was over his press conference (if you wanna call it that) but none-the-less, we all had a lot to say about that.

We also spent a good chunk of time discussing the Olympics... I mean how could you not!? So many great stories (and some not so great), we just had to.

And near the end, we read an e-mail from a listener who had a comment about our previous episode where we touched on religion. That sparked the religion debate once again and pretty much ended the show on that note.

We had lots of fun recording this one... the topics were interesting and we were all just in a great mood (that usually helps).

Oh yeah... and Keith runs really fast!

I'm not sure, however, I think it was still a good show just maybe not as entertaining as some of our previous episodes.

In this show, we talk a little bit about Brendan Burke's tragic death, the Superbowl, Apple's new iPad and the Olympics. Lots of concern about the Olympics since it all starts this weekend and uh... there's no snow!!! We also wonder who will be the Canadian who lights the Olympic flame to begin the games.

Later in the show, we discuss religion and our beliefs although Monica stayed rather quiet during that discussion... I think she felt outnumbered and wasn't in the mood to engage in a religious debate.

A quick reminder, our get-together is this Saturday (Feb. 13th) at the Corner Bar & Grill on Bank Street. Both the Sens Underground and Talking Canadian crew will be there along with a number of listeners. So if you live in Ottawa or happen to be in town this weekend, come join us (777 Bank Street).
The show was recorded on New Year's Day (at night) but unfortunately didn't get a chance to publish it until very late on the 2nd... actually started feeling pretty sick before the show (pulled-it off though) and went straight to bed after the recording. Todd was very funny and we all had a blast recording this episode... I wanted to hurry up and publish it as soon as possible but yeah... I was pretty sick.

This episode is almost 2 hrs long and it probably would have been even longer if I was feeling a bit better. But basically this show was about 2 guys and 1 girl talking to a comedian, drinking beer and having a blast!

Anyway, we did manage to put a full show together... it's just a little shorter than our typical 1:30 shows.

Monica did not join us tonight - had been suffering from a bad headache all day so she decided to go to bed instead. Meanwhile, we tried our best to put a good show together but it's just not the same without Monica's laughter. Seriously, her laugh gets us going... and well... none of that tonight.

Wait... we did talk about that Bear incident out in BC... and uh... yeah that's all I remember.

I will say this - if you find Monica loud in your ears when she laughs, you may want to turn the volume down for this one. She laughs pretty much from beginning to end.

Like we promised, we had Sophie on the show this week. We put her on the spot and had her do the intro for the show. She was great!

Doing the show on the same night the Sens beat the Leafs, we had no choice but to talk hockey... had to change topic when Monica started to nod-off. We did talk about other stuff but all I remember is the hockey talk. Oh wait... I think we did talk about this place called Paradise??? Actually, some interesting topics did come up... thank God a few us were prepared (Monica).

We visited the East coast of Nfld, specifically, Centreville/Wareham area in Bonavista Bay. The scenery was beautiful and the trip was fantastic.

Weather was great, 25 – 27 (before a shot at Nfld weather), yes, that was in Celsius.

Weather can impact a holiday big time so we made the most of it by spending two days hanging out on beautiful beaches (the air was warm but trust me the water was cold, now I know why I swim like a rock) and one day crusing on a long liner, fishing and touring the outlying Islands.

I must say, there were lots and lots of Cod out there in the ocean. Seals haven’t got them all yet.

We stayed in 5 cottages close to a Salmon River and only 10 minutes from town, which meant there were family and friends dropping by all day/night long.

A summer trip to Newfoundland should be on your bucket list.

I was then supposed to publish the show early the following morning but Monica woke-up feeling sick and was actually quite sick for most of the day so between taking care of the kids all day and trying to stay awake, I finally got around to publishing the show late Sunday night.

Now, about Episode 26... Monica joins the crew once again after being absent for the previous two shows. And it was only fitting for everyone to be back together in order to celebrate the One Year Anniversary of Talking Canadian!! Keith brought a very "small" bottle of "cheap" champagne to celebrate and that we did! Thank God we had a beer fridge stacked with cold ones to help us out...

As for the show itself, Keith finally shares his story about his first ever visit to Montreal. He didn't shed a tear like he thought he might... but then again, how can you when you're having so much fun!!

We decide to play a little drinking game for this episode... every time Monica swears, or Ben says "you know", or Joe brings-up minor hockey, or Keith starts a thought with "You know something?", we have to take a drink. That was kind of fun actually. But really, the show is like all of our other shows... we read e-mails, we drink, we talk about stuff... and that's it. And like every other show, we had a great time recording it... hope you enjoy it.

The Pond's dimensions are 11' x 20' with a depth of 8 inches in the shallow end and 30 inches in the deep end. Water is piped from pond up to basinand returned via 20 foot babbling stream.

It took 5 weeks to remove the old pond and create the new pond. Thisconstant pounding of 35 tons of rockand gravel being dumped in front ofthe house and subsequent transportation of this rock via Dingo fromfront to back drove the neighbours nuts.

There are about 30 fish in the Pond. Of course, the fish populate, soeach spring I have to give away about 30 fish to other pond enthusiasts (and before you ask, no I don't BBQ them).

The Koi (about 20 inches long each) and goldfish stay in the pond allwinter and will not be fed from November though April. I asked my wife toknit them little sweaters but she thought I was nuts. I actually givethen a little food on Christmas day.

Note: a de-icer keeps the deep end from freezing over and an aeratorsupplies oxygen and removes the methane gasses).

There's a 10 year age difference between my wife and I and like I keep tellingpeople, "we are now virtually the same age. That's because I will havereduced my age by 5 years by relaxing by the pond with my glass of wineor cup of tea and my wife will have aged 5 years because we spent somuch money on the creation of the Pond".It's all good, hope you enjoy the pictures. Sitting-in for her this time is the "one and only" Brad - the dude we always reference in some of our stories.

One thing for sure, we had one hell of a good time recording this show. There was a lot of drinking during the show but there was also a lot of drinking before the show. Joe was talking more, Keith was feistier and Brad... well was Brad.

We start off by discussing the whole Brandon Blank thing... not sure I like how this whole thing played-out but you'll need to listen to get the whole story on that.

As for the stuff we discussed on this show... who knows!!?? All I know is we did talk about Seals at some point which is the only reason it was chosen as the title for the show. There was no keeping track of topics discussed in this episode... again, the drinking (before and during the show).

Anyway, we had a lot of fun messing with Brad. He didn't want to show it but he did look a little nervous at the start... he was a good sport and we look forward to having him on the show again sometime in the near future.

A bit of a different show this week... Monica had to sit-out with a bad migraine but did make a quick appearance to apologize to one of our listeners who was a little bit offended by a few remarks she made in the previous show. Sitting-in for Monica was Doug (also known as Goober in our forums). All you regular listeners probably already know that Goober is Monica's brother.

We didn't have too many topics for this show... which is strange since this is our longest show to date!? We discussed the Michael Jackson situation once again, basically to address an e-mail from a listener who wasn't too pleased with the some of the comments Monica made in the previous show.

We also finally announced the winnerS of our little rant contest. Let me put it this way, 8 of you will be receiving a Talking Canadian shirt. You'll have to listen to see if your name is on the list.

We had TONS of e-mails (which is great) and we read many of them but not all. Some of the things we talked about were topics suggested by e-mailers but really, we were just all over the map like usual. One thing we did learn in this show is to never look at a Frenchman's girlfriend. Keith explains why.

If you think you'll find out who won the contest in this show... you may be surprised. We selected the top 8 or 9 rants to read on the show and figured we would choose our winner at the end of the show but things didn't turn out as planned. Basically, several of you are getting TC shirts but the actual winner will be determined at a later date. Yeah I know... we suck!

Anyway, in this show... we spend a lot of time reading e-mails. Most of the e-mails we read were rants submitted for the contest and some of them were pretty long so let me apologize ahead of time... not because of the e-mails but because of the way we read them *cough* JOE *cough*.

Although, Goober decided to record his rant and e-mail us the audio file so you can actually hear his rant. Not bad Goober... but you're not gonna win... especially since you're rant is ABOUT US!!!!!

Between e-mails and rants, we do manage to bring-up a few other topics such as the Heatley situation here in Ottawa, Michael Jackson's death, how I (Ben) almost drowned in the shower, other stuff, more stuff, and some more stuff (again, don't really remember).

So here are some of the things we talked about in this show (not necessarily in this order):

the Brown Bag Golf Tournament and how things got a little sour after the golfing was over.

the Stanley Cup has finally been awarded and we share our opinion on the whole Crosby snubbing the Wings crap.

the Heatley and Malakar situation here in Ottawa.

Ballsille's bid to by the Coyotes is rejected... the dude will never own a team in the NHL!

Chastity Bono's becoming a man!?!?

Sex changes - are you still gay if you've had a sex change?

Newfie Nanaimo Bars

Why cars were invented... explained so eloquently by Keith.

Monica believes she caught the swine flu!

Buying plastics bags at the grocery store.

... and of course, a whole bunch of other things we forgot to jot down.

Some of us were a little tired... some even still sick... but we still had a blast recording the show (like usual) so hope you enjoy it.

We were inspired by some of the rants posted in our forums so we decided that the contest should be about rants. Send us a rant (by e-mail - don't post it) about anything you want... we just want it to be well written and funny. We will then pick pick the best one and announce the winner in episode 23 (June 30th). Keith got a few extra Talking Canadian shirts so we may have more than one winner and we may even let you decide who else should win a TC shirt... but we will for sure pick one winner on June 30th.

As for Episode 21, all I have to say is that it's pretty much a blur. In all of the episodes we've recorded to date, this is the one where we all laughed the hardest! Well except maybe for Monica... she didn't have to leave the room this time like she did in the last show. I don't even remember what the hell we talked about... all I know is that Keith did the intro to the show and then we flapped about a whole bunch of crap, read tons of e-mails, laughed our assess off and then Keith did the outro as well (which was unexpected by the way) and that's it.

Hope you enjoy it!!??

Another long episode so let me just list some of the things we chatted about in point form:

Accents (French and British)

Urinal Etiquette

Universities

Our never-ending Contest for a Contest

Listener E-mails

Weddings (and bum slapping)

Hell's Angels

The stuff we learned in high school

More NHL teams in Canada

and a bunch of other stuff not worthy enough to make into the show notes

It was nother fun night for us... a lot of laughing, especially near the end when Monica was getting tired and ended-up with a serious case of the giggles. She actually had to leave the room at one point. Not that leaving the room during a recording of an episode is an issue... Keith does it 5 times an episode (to go pee!!). Maybe when I'm as old as Keith, I may have to pee every 10 minutes when drinking beer??

Of course, we also read listener e-mails... had quite a few this week. Keep them coming, we love hearing from you!

NOTHING. It's not like our shows are scripted or anything... you regulars already know that but we usually do jot a few things down just in case. Well this was the least prepared we've ever been and yet somehow, still managed to fill over an hour.

We discuss the "contest for a contest" contest we're going to have. Keith started this thing now we have to go through with it. While Keith is out there getting Talking Canadian t-shirts printed, the first part of this contest for a contest thing has already begun. Send us suggestions for a contest we can have where the winner of that contest will win a Talking Canadian t-shirt and whatever contest we end-up having, the person who suggested that contest... well... will win a... Talking Canadian t-shirt.

Here are some of the topics we discuss in the episode (not necessarily in that order):

- Fighting in Hockey
- Hulk Hogan's comments about his ex-wife
- OJ
- Billy Bob's embarrasing interview
- How Monica almost burnt her house down
- The CanJet airplane that was hijacked in Jamaica
- Jamaican accents... and the inability for Ben to do any accents what-so-ever (except for Italian accents)
- Booing national anthems *cough* Habs fans *cough*
- The potential video podcast or live streaming of Talking Canadian
- The trick Joe once played on the poor old people at a Bingo hall in Sudbury

Two things you should note:

As a member of Talking Canadian, you can subscribe to page updates. For example, you can subscribe to the Blog page which means any time an article is posted or modified or... someone posts a comment, you will be notified by e-mail. You can also subscribe to the Forums page where you will be notified every time someone posts a message... or if you want, you can subscribe to a particular thread if you want to simply track a specific discussion (maybe a topic you've posted).

You can change your display name for your account. When logged-in, you can click on your name at the top right of the page and then click "Edit Profile". There you will be able to set your display name as well as change any other info associated to your account... like your password. Changing your display name comes in handy if you don't want your posts to be signed with your full name.

There are a few other things you can do with your member account but I'll let you guys figure that out. It's actually pretty intuitive. But if you have any questions, just e-mail me and I'll help you out.

Ben decided to sport a pornstache for this episode... Monica will deny it but she loves the stache!

In this episode, we talk about a whole bunch of crap. That's right... crap. You see, we drink all this beer, record a show, then everyone takes off and I have to remember what the hell we talked about so I can write the show notes. Of course, no one jots down what we discussed so I basically have to go based on memory.

So let me see... we talk about Facebook and how we hate it. We also talk about Gay people (we don't hate gay people we just talk about gay people). Actually, a lot of gay talk in this episode! Bluetooth DVDs??? Keith, do you know what Bluetooth is?

We talk about embarrassing high-school moments and Joe goes on about the issue teenage boys had to deal with the most in high-school? You know, sporting a boner at the most awkward times?

We bring up the topic of past injuries and accidents (again).

Keith wants us to have a contest to come up with a contest so we can give away a prize for the contest winner?? Ya follow?

Ingredients:

2 lb. of lean ground beef

1/4 c. soy sauce

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. tenderizer (I didn't use this but regular salt will do)

2 tsp. curing salt (I used a Smoked Salt instead)

2 Tb. liquid smoke (I found this at the grocery store)

2 Tb. Worcestershire

2 Tb. brown sugar

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients into the ground beef I used my wife's Kitchen Aide big mixer but you can do it by hand like making hamburgers.

Cover the bowl and let it merinate for a while. I let mine stay in the fridge overnight

I used a cookie gun with a flat nozzle to make the strips but if you don't have that you can flatten out handful sizes of beef between 2 sheets of waxed paper using a rolling pin. Make them as thin or thick as you like, too thin and they will stick to the paper. Then cut them into strips using a pizza cutter! Trial & error in this area.

I have a food dehydrator so I used that and it took about 5 hrs to get them how I like them. I flip them every once and a while as well. If you don't have one bake them in the oven on low for as long as needed (not sure how long I never used the oven)

You can add spices like Cayan on the strips or mix to give it some bite!

1st week we hung out near Venice Beach, 1 hour south of Tampa Bay.

Got up in the morning did a roller blade before first coffee, had breakfast and headed out to the beach with a bag of spirits and some water for the kiddies.

Venice beach is quite an exciting place to hang out. All around the beautiful sandy beach there are dolphins, pelicans and crystal clear water (albeit a little too cold for my liking). In the afternoons, you look around and see happy people sipping on brewskes and vino. Every Saturday night there's a party where lots of hippie looking, people, belly dance and beat hundreds of drums during the sunset and once again drinking their favorite spirits and enjoying Mary Jane. Hundreds of people from the old to the young enjoying the serenity.

2nd week we hit the Florida Keys near Key Largo ( Islamorada actually ) just north of Key West.

Beautiful sunny weather every day. We had a private beach house with a 100 foot pier. We catch spiny lobsters and snorkel for 1st two days until we spot Sting Rays, Barracudas, man'o'wars and sharks, yes sharks ( all in less than 6 feet of water ). That was it for snorkelling for us especially me because I panic when my face is underwater and trying to breath through a snorkel plus I swim like a rock.

Went to a movie and they served us a glass of wine. Gotta the love the good ole U S of A. Freedom plus ! I'll be back, Florida.

Talking Canadian is really more about the Podcast. And one of the things that has changed which will affect all our listeners is the podcast feed. We now have a new RSS feed and the old one redirects all current subscriptions to the new feed. For all our existing subscribers, whatever client you're using to subscribe to our feed should automatically switch over to the new feed. What will most likely happen is that the feed will display all episodes (that you may or may not have downloaded yet) twice. Just delete the ones that don't display the title beside the podcast name. For example: Delete Episode 15, Keep Episode: 15 Chocken' the Chicken.

If you're having problems with the new feed, send us an e-mail and we'll be happy to help out. Us being Ben... since both Joe and Keith have no idea what's going on here!

Feel free to leave any comments about the new site... we always appreciate feedback (positive or not).

We spend a large part of the show discussing the AMAZING tickets we were given for the Sens - Oilers game last Thursday. Didn’t discuss the game, just the experience we had and how Joe single handily managed to get 3 entire sections of people to hate him by the end of the night.

Ben & Monica talk about their addiction to Guitar Hero. We also do a lot of chatting about dreams (weird dreams, reoccurring dreams, hag dreams, wet dreams, dreams in colour, etc.). We read a lot of e-mails... received TONS of e-mails this week - thank you and keep them coming!

We talk about Cock Fighting... not much but we do. Somehow, this topic leads or to pee swords, pee fights, and peeing in a pitcher of beer. Don’t ask.

And finally, we end the show with... dumbasses!

One thing to note, our web site will be changing by the time we release our next episode. The web address will remain the same but our feed will change. Your subscription to the show will (should) automatically be redirected to the new feed location but you may notice duplicate shows available for download. Either simply delete the duplicates from iTunes or better yet, unsubscribe and then re-subscribe. If you have any issues with the new feed, please e-mail Ben.

For some strange reason, we had tons of e-mails after last week’s show... we read most of the e-mails and touched on a number of topics. We played a song sent to us by a good listener that was in reference to Keith’s story about drowning kittens when he was younger. The song is titled Kittens in a Bag and was very appropriate based on what Keith shared with us 2 weeks ago.

We briefly talked about Obama’s visit to Ottawa, Ben’s son kicking him in the balls and then wanting to go down on him to kiss “it” better, Joe throws in a few jokes here and there, Sundin in Toronto and how he was received in his first game in Toronto since leaving the Leafs, Keith’s humane way of handle mice, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Tune in and find out for yourself... and thanks for listening!

We start off the show by reading a few e-mails and of course commenting on them. Then we discuss a wide a range of things... from Canadian Geese in the states, to Keith drowning kittens when he was a kid, to lying to our kids (you know... Tooth Fairy, Santa Clause), to Michael Phelps’ pot smoking incident, to A-Rod’s steroid use admission... and whole bunch of other stuff. Man, I should really write down what we talk about during the show.

Anyway, we got a mixed response about the humming thing... some people think the humming thing should be over and done with, yet some people told us they really enjoy our humming to close the shows and want us to continue. We still don’t know what we’ll do in future episodes but we decided to give it another try in this one... figured it would be fun with Monica joining us.

We read a couple of listener e-mails, talked about the NHL All Star game, and a little bit about American politics and what Obama’s first major moves should be.

We also touched on the OC Transport strike that is STILL on-going here in Ottawa and the impact it’s having on the city.

Eugene Melnyk is bidding for an MLS franchise for the city of Ottawa... we share our opinion on that whole situation.

Ben explains why his wife may be hosting the show from now on... at least for the next episode.

Keith brings up the story about the dude who fled the tanning salon (naked) because he smelled something burning or something like that? Who the hell knows???

Ben talks about how he recently switched to different happy pills... the other ones were wearing off a little.

AND... we put an end to our humming. That’s right... this episode marks the last time you’ll hear us humming 80’s tunes. We figured it was time to put that to an end... although, this was probably the most fun we’ve ever had doing the humming thing.

So of course, we talk about the World Juniors, a little bit about the Sens (who SUCK!), the Ruutu biting incident, Sundin in Vancouver, and uh... ball hockey! Apparently, it’s not cool playing ball hockey in jeans!

Ben talks about the new Happy Pills he’s been taking... and no, not Viagra!

Never understood why some people spit... I guess you have your spitters and well, you’re non-spitters. Turns out, Joe is a spitter.

We play Sean Avery’s “sloppy seconds” clip and share our opinions about that dumbass!! Then we move on to OJ, Boxing, UFC, Bills vs Dolphins in Toronto, the OC Transpo strike... and a bunch of other stuff.

Keith talks about his trip to New York as well as the Neil Young concert he attended here in Ottawa. Then Joe goes off on Wild Turkeys... by the way, in case you didn’t know, yes Turkeys can fly.

Keith tells us about his trip back to his hometown in Newfoundland. Prince is now a Jehovah’s Witness??? That dude is strange! The bass player for Platinum Blonde is dead.

We briefly talk about Barack Obama and how we think he’s the best thing that could happen to the States considering the current state of the American economy.

Keith brings-up the World Series of Poker... like anyone really cares, right? Well apparently a lot of people do... I still don’t get it??

Of course, being the Sens fans that we are, we discuss how bad the Sens are sucking especially since we started recording this show right after watching our team get their asses kicked by the Habs 4-0.

Joe finally shares his “plumbing incident” although we admit the story didn’t seem as funny the second time around. For whatever reason, we started sharing “CRAP” stories after listening to Joe’s plumbing incident. Come on... who doesn’t like a good crap story... everyone has one!

Apparently, there’s some chick who’s auctioning off her virginity and some dude bid $250,000 for a crack at her cherry???? Well this story lead us to a topic that inspired the title of this show... CONSENT!

We give our opinion on the new Seinfeld & Gates commercials and then call it a night.

We had a blast recording this show and hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it.

We also read a few e-mails sent in from out listeners . A couple of them address the “N” word topic from our previous episode. One of the e-mails sparks a RANT about the Leafs and their fans. But of course, the topic of hockey comes up with training camp about to start in a coupe of weeks.

This episode is pretty different than our first one and more along the lines of what we had in mind for this show. We had a lot of fun in this one and hopefully, you’ll enjoy is as much as we did!!??

Speaking of big deals, we also share our opionon on the whole Brett Favre fiasco... like we haven’t heard enough about that already. We also touch on the 2008 Summer Olympics that are just a few days away.

We don’t only talk sports in this one. Reality TV becomes a topic... apparently Keith has never watched a reality show before (whatever). And we end the show trying to speak with accents. I don’t know... you’ll have to listen to find out what the hell that was all about.
