Episode 51: I MADE IT!!

Monica could not join us for this episode... but Jordy (StooLi) from Sens Underground was kind enough to step in for Mo and he didn't disappoint.

This was one of the most fun shows we've done in a while. I don't know why really... although it might have something to do with Keith. Dude was on fire! It's almost like as if he was drunk or something... or drunk with happiness after showing-up to the studio in his brand new MKX. Regardless, you know when Keith has a lot to say, it's gonna be a fun show! And my vote is to always have Jordy join the show when one of the regulars can't make it - the guy can bring it!

We had a blast recording this episode and hopefully, you'll have a blast listening to it.

It's hard to beleive we're already at Episode 50!! Wow!!

Well... like usually, we got together to you know... talk about "stuff" and somehow managed to fill a full hour and more.

Keith was a bit more involved in this episide... you may have noticed he didn't speak to much in the previous show due exhaustion from working so many contracts. But he was full of energy this week and when Keith has a lot to say, that's when we have the most fun. In fact, the title of the show was inspired by Keith but you'll have to wait until the end of the show to see why.

Episode 49: BORING!!

Based on the title of this episode, you may think we mean that the show is boring. Although some of you may think that regardless, the title is not meant to describe the show. In fact, we had quite a blast recording this episode. At some points, we found ourselves laughing uncontrollably for no good reason. I guess we can chalk it up to a good case of the giggles!?

This was also the episode where we celebrate Talking Canadian's 2nd year anniversary. There was a bit more champagne to go around (compared to last year)... hey wait a second... maybe that's why we were laughing for no reason near the end of the show?? Maybe we SHOULD drink champagne during every episode we record? I don't know... have a listen and let us know what you think.

Episode 48: TuESday!

After almost a whole month, we finally get around to recording episode 48. Actually, we did we record a show last Tuesday like we said we would but things didn't really turn out that well. Monica was out of town with the kids, Keith and Joe showed-up a little early that day... and... after a lot of drinks in the hot sun, we got a little intoxicated. We thought we could do a show just the same - let's face it, we're not really about content and structure!! But you know what, the show was awful and we just didn't feel right publishing it. So instead, we waited for Monica to get back in town and we recorded a "normal" show.

In this episode, we discuss how our summer has been going... holidays, Canada Day, Father's Day, G20 thing, ... uh... Earthquake??? Keith and Monica talk about how the earthquake affected them. Joe was camping and didn't feel a thing when it hit, I (Ben) loved it.

We read a lot of e-mails in this show (thanks for the great e-mails BTW). Don't worry, Monica read most of them so it won't be too painful to listen to.

We should be back to our regular schedule now... at least I think so??? Whatever... it's not like anyone is complaining??

Episode 47: Homophobia

So we did manage to record a show Tuesday night although maybe we shouldn't have. It's hard to record a show when some of us are sick, when some of us are grumpy and tired, and when some of us are... well... Newfies!! But we did it!!! ;-)

We spent a good chunk of the show defending ourselves in response to an e-mail sent to us by an angry listener who accused us of being homophobic and bigotted. It seems we all had a rebuttle to her accusations but does it really matter? Don't think she'll be listening to our show again?

A few other e-mails get read, a few other topics get discussed, and there you have it... Episode 47.

Maybe we weren't in tip-top shape in this episode but we still had fun and that's all the matters. That's right, it doesn't matter if YOU have fun... as long as WE have fun!!!
